Te Awe Awe is a showstopping kitchen of romantic glamour & artful detail located in Palmerston North, New Zealand, with an elegant & timeless material palette of striking bullnosed Montenegro marble benching, splashback & integrated rangehood unit. The Dekton 12mm benching is fitted with Pitt gas fixtures & rich veneer cabinetry from Vidaspace features custom bead detailing, & the Buster & Punch closet bar handles add drama to the integrated column refrigerator & freezer units by Fisher Paykel. The curved bronze island back & negative detailing is by Rivet, with the bespoke Cloud chandelier by Apparatus off set to add interest. A concealed scullery offers space for small appliances, food storage & a second sink fitted with a Zenith hydro tap & integrated dish drawer, & the bar area features an arch to compliment the adjacent exterior arches. A sink & integrated bar fridge offer practical uses when entertaining, & the tall storage units with bronze glass doors allows for ample storage for wine & glassware.
This kitchen won Kitchen of the Year 2025 with HOME magazine Interior of the Year awards, with a thoughtful judges citation:
